The Inclusive Fashion & Design Collective is designing an ecosystem of products, ideas and people who prioritize the exception rather than the rule. Our mission is to increase the impact of beautiful, functional products in our everyday lives and in the global economy.
You cannot enable the wearer by disabling the sewer, the environment, or the retail employee. The IFDC advocates for highly-sustainable solutions. Anything less would be in direct conflict with our mission.
Until recently, there has been minimal historical precedent set for the development of products made for disabled people. The IFDC aims to change this by providing resources and grants to the people, businesses, and organizations who have begun to carve the path.
The IFDC invites disabled people to the table of their own design. We believe the moment a retailer sees a person with a disability as a consumer, they also will see that person as hirable.
